Company Registration

Everything you need to know about starting and running, including how to nominate directors and shareholders.

I am using my home address as the ‘registered office address’ and I am renting, how do I answer?

If your registered office address is a rented residential premises then answer ‘no’ to this question as the company is not the occupier of the property. You will then be asked to enter the name of the occupier. In this box you should insert the name of the leaseholder (in most cases this will be one of the directors).

You will be asked to declare, by way of electronically ticking a box, that the occupier has provided written permission for the company to use the above listed address as its registered office address.

N.B. The registered office address MUST be a physical street address. It CANNOT be a post office box.
