If you are appointed as a director for the first time from the 1st November 2021 until 4th April 2022 you will need to apply for a director within 28 days of appointment (appointment would likely be the date of company registration).
From 5th April 2022 all directors will be required to apply for a director ID prior to their first appointment (company registration for most). Whilst this is a requirement there will not need to enter your director ID in the company application form or provide us with proof of application at this stage, however you should be aware of it.
For directors appointed prior to 31st October 2021 you will have until 30th November 2022 to apply for your director ID.
